BEACHY-KEEN

Beached House :: BKK Architects

Interested in the art of origami and the possibility of spaces folding into each other, Beached House by BKK Architects employs an interesting formal language that allows the space to simultaneously feel open and private.  Room dividing partitions and thoughtful space-planning maximize the home's square footage, and generous glazing capitalizes on the site and natural light.  BKK self describes this home as "beached", romanticizing the idea that this home was washed ashore and is now clinging to land, even if just momentarily.
