Kyouei Design :: Switch Chair & DJ Table

I will spare you the Daft Punk song (Technologic) that came to my mind immediately after finding this this set of table and chairs by the Japanese based, Kyouei Design.  Although the usability is questionable, the texture, pattern, and repetition of the designs are quite nice.

COZY

The Ploum sofa by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec Design has such a cozy appearance and unexpected scale. With the perfect blend of casual, elegant. and simple, these London based designers have created a design capable of spanning many design genres while remaining comfortable--a challenge that most designs cannot overcome. 

This seems like it would be the perfect place to cozy up a good book, a laptop or friend especially during the cold months.  I already feel more relaxed...

Something Lovely

The Clutch Project by Scott Jarvie began as a microscopic exploration of the structural composition of trees and the directional properties of Capillary tubes.  Pictured is the Clutch Chair, constructed of 10, 000 drinking straws.
