Gudbrandsjuvet, Norway
Seamingly simple, yet breathtakingly beautiful. The Juvet Landscape Hotel in Norway, designed by Jensen+Skodvin Arkitektkontor, is an assemblage of individually crafted suites. Each room is a detached, independent house with one or two of the exterior walls made of glass. The rooms are oriented in such a way that you can never peer from one house into another, allowing for exceptional privacy and one of a kind views. The materiality is crucial for the hotel's seamless integration into its natural settings--wood reminiscent of the surrounding trees and highly highly reflective glazing, giving the illusion that the landscape never ends.
