PATTERN AND REPITITION

Aesop Installation :: Cheungvogl Architects
I.T. Haysan, Hong Kong

I can't quite get over this incredible temporary installation by Cheungvogl Architects in Hong Kong. The more than 800 resin boxes perched atop fabric encased steel rods create an impressive field of repetition and pattern.  The exaggerated use of a homogeneous shape creates a feast for the eyes as light and shadow intermingle with the different levels of opacity and translucency.
