Polkaflage Trench :: Betabrand
Styled by ROVVEL

When ROVVEL was given the opportunity to style a shoot for San Francisco based clothing designers Betabrand and their new Polkaflage trench, Anna and I just couldn't pass it up. We tossed around some pretty crazy ideas---yes nymphs in trees taking men hostage was on the table--- But we decided on a sleek, urban setting for this military inspired piece.

And come on, an afternoon with these ladies is not a bad gig...Our fabulous model Hailey is on the right, and my partner in crime is on the left. (Note: if you are getting tired of hearing about ROVVEL, please immediately stop reading this blog, because we are just getting started!)

With some impromptu styling and a hand-picked location in the Mission District of San Francisco, we focused on playing up the polka dots by immersing the shoot in round elements--the restaurant's facade, pizza, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls...you get the idea.

Like I said, too much fun! Check out more images of our shoot on Anna's blog here. If you've fallen in love with the coat like we have, grab it while you can on Betabrand's site.

Those lips!
