SIMPLICITY BY FEILDON FOWLES

Ty Pren Eco-House :: Feildon Fowles

Snuggled amidst the hills of South Wales, this statement in domestic sustainability by Feildon Fowles utilizes recycled Welsch cladding, a south facade orientation to maximize lighting conditions and takes into account an estimated carbon emission that is compensated by the number of trees replanted in the nearby surroundings.  The interior, according to the architects, is set on a logical plan with a slightly off centered spine to maximizes the living space, allowing the south facade to remain unobstructed and available for the large expanses of glazing responsible for the home's natural light.  The material choice has almost  a Nordic quality, but is even more sparse, lacking the fur throws and bright pops of color, giving the Ty Pren Eco-House a no-frills sense of luxury.
