Capturing one of the poorest, roughest neighborhoods of San Francisco, talented photographer Sean Desmond set out to find beauty in the most unexpected place, give a sense of identity to the residents we often avoid eye contact with, and humanize even some of the most unbearable surroundings. These beautiful and touching images represent only few of the many wonderful moments captured by Desmond's lens in the inner-city Tenderloin neighborhood.
